Kokkola Film Fest
Kokkolan Kinojuhlat, Kokkola Film Fest, is an annual film festival in Central Ostrobothnia. The program consists of new and old films, music, discussions and parties.
The festival was first organised in September 2018 and has since taken place annually during the first weeks of September. Each year’s theme is announced at the conclusion of the preceding festival. The full programme is published in late August, and tickets go on sale during the last week of August at Bio Rex Kokkola and on their website.

Kokkola can be reached by train. Travel time from Oulu is approximately 2 hours, from Helsinki 4 hours, and from Tampere 2.5 hours. For timetables, see vr.fi.

About the festival
The founding members of the festival are Maija Aho, Laura Airola, Juho Kuosmanen ja Jussi Rantamäki. The festival is produced by festival director Kaisa Kukkola and the other team members are Aaro Taina, Jacques Appel, Misa Stenman, Anne Nimell, Marjo Pipinen and Anu Silfverberg.
