Fifth Kokkola Film Fest on September 8–11, 2022!

Kokkolan Kinojuhlat, Kokkola Film Fest, is an annual film festival in Central Ostrobothnia. The program consists of new and old films, music, discussions and parties.
 
The 5th festival will take place September 8–11, 2022. The themes of this year’s festival are the United States and migration.

Kokkola’s workers’ hall transforms into a cinema during the festival! There is also a bar & café serving American style food, treats and drinks!

Tickets are sold through Bio Rex website and box office starting August 25.
Regular screening ticket 10 euros
Drive-in ticket 25 euros / car
Silent film screenings with live music 20 euros
Concert: Ykspihlajan kino-orkesteri 15 euros
 

Subtitles

In 2022, most of the films are spoken in English as the focus country is the United States. You can find more information about the spoken languages and the subtitles on the program page.

About the festival

The founding members of the festival are Maija Aho, Laura Airola, Juho Kuosmanen ja Jussi Rantamäki. The festival is produced by festival director Kaisa Kukkola and the other team members are Maria Kuosmanen, Essi Lax, Juhana Lehtiniemi, Anne Nimell, Marjo Pipinen and Anu Silfverberg.
